Personal Injury Lawyer Brunswick GA

In personal injury cases such as this bellow, most attorneys will offer the option of a contingency fee or an hourly based fee. Contingency fees also provide strong motivation to the attorney to work hard on your case, as both you and the attorney benefit from a higher monetary award. Contingency fee percentages vary depending on your state or country's court rules, but generally provide for a 1/3-2/3 attorney/client split, with the percentage decreasing in stages as the total award increases.

Seeking an Affordable Solution for a Slip and Fall

Q: I recently had a slip and fall injury in a local coffee shop. I desperately need a lawyer who is affordable and can cover this case. Do any attorneys offer sliding scale rates for singles?

The bad news is that attorneys do not offer different rates based on marital status. The good news is your case is very amenable to a contingency fee arrangement, where you would not be responsible for attorneys fees (beyond court costs and expenses) unless there is a favorable settlement or court verdict/award. Contingency fees facilitate access to the courts for those who are unable to pay attorneys fees in civil lawsuits.

In personal injury cases such as yours, most attorneys will offer the option of a contingency fee or an hourly based fee.

As for finding a lawyer, that should not be too hard if your case has any merit. Most counties have Lawyer Referral services, so call your local Court Clerk's office for the number of that free service. And remember, you need not and should not hire an attorney unless you are comfortable with their proposed services as set forth in a written retainer agreement.
