I have a few suggestions to to lose Love Handles: When doing your cardio you can try to play with the following variables - Intensity (how hard you work out), duration (how long you work out), frequency (how many times in a week you work out) and mode (varying the machines on which you work out). Changing any or all of them will stimulate the body, challenging it to new levels while burning more body fat.

Losing the Love Handles

Q: I have done just about everything to lose my love handles, but nothing works! Are they going to be here with me forever????


 

I can understand how frustrating it is to be trying so hard to lose your love handles, only to find nothing works. You did not mention your weight and if you are looking to lose any or maintain, but in order to "see" the ab muscles and get cut, it is necessary to diminish the body fat around your core. It is important to do both cardio/aerobics and abdominal work.

I have a few suggestions: When doing your cardio you can try to play with the following variables - Intensity (how hard you work out), duration (how long you work out), frequency (how many times in a week you work out) and mode (varying the machines on which you work out). Changing any or all of them will stimulate the body, challenging it to new levels while burning more body fat.

Another suggestion would be to try a Pilates class for an amazing total core workout, or even an ab class to gain some new ideas of exercises to try in order to stimulate the abs in a new way, challenging them to work harder.

One last idea is consider a personal trainer or work out with a friend. A trainer can develop a workout, help motivate you and show you exercises specific to your body and needs. If a trainer is too expensive, you can consider joining a session with a friend and splitting the cost. Your love handles won't be there forever, just a slight change in your routine can help you reach your goals!
